M4L looper control

February 7, 2014 | 1:20 pm

Hi all, I’m having some trouble controlling Live’s Looper with M4L.

While live transporter is playing, controlling the record & play function true M4L ignores the quantisation in the looper. Clicking on the looper itself works ok.

Very annoying. Can someone help me out how to fix this?

Kind regards Joost

Super annoying right? Near as I can tell when you control loopers transport it ignore its quatization and thats just the way it is. Maybe its a bug or maybe its just bad design? Or maybe Im totally wrong and I was just doing it wrong.

It is annoying indeed! To get around this – i send midi commands from my patch to control the looper – that seems to function the same as clicking with the mouse and quantization is not ignored.

So youre using a midi loopback like midiyoke?

Exactly – I’m on OSX and use the built in IAC bus for this.

Maybe you can try a similar approach?
