Max 6.1 64 bit number rendering issue?

Mar 07 2013 | 9:03 pm

When I startup Max 6.1 in 64 bit mode (OSx 10.8.2, MacBook Pro and Mac Desktop) and run the pasted patch that takes in Razer Nostromo gaming keyboard scrolling data and translates to MIDI control values Max renders this message:
101 -1
as
101 4294967295
from the left output of [hi]
I guess this is something related to int32/int64 compatibility? 4294967295 is maybe something like -0.999999999?
I am unable to reproduce the behavior without the gaming controller, ie a message of 101 -1 sent to print yields 101 -1.

Thanks for the report. Your analysis is likely correct. I’ve created a ticket for us to address this in an update.

Bumping. Actually, just started a new thread to put this in Max 7 territory.
