I'm making a little patcher to connect to a usb serial device (Wiring S, Arduino, whatever) to receive a set of data from sensors. No surprise there, everybody's doing it these days.

What my patch do: can auto-connect to a recorded port, open connection on bang, close connection on bang, update and list serial port containing 'usbserial' (thanks mister 'regexp') in there name and of course read data. It also automatically close connection when patcher is freed.

But when I disconnect the usbserial device (not physically, within max), my bleutooth mouse disconnect also so I presume that max also disconnect bleutooth serial connection.

This is a problem. Working with two different mouses to be able to still work is fun but not really practical.

So here is my investigation theories so far(in order of probability):

- Maybe the problem reside in the way I do things in my patcher so here it is:

- Maybe the problem reside in how max manage connections.

Can someone help me with this not so big but annoying problem please?

But when I disconnect the usbserial device (not physically, within max), my bleutooth mouse disconnect also so I presume that max also disconnect bleutooth serial connection.
This is a problem. Working with two different mouses to be able to still work is fun but not really practical.

- Maybe it is a max bug.
