When I try to view the polybuffer~ help file Max6 crashes. Is it just me?

I have been patching with polybuffer~ in my max 6 demo (thinking of purchasing full version) however it crashes ever time i try to use my patch.

I have polybuffer~ with only on sample in (at the moment) and it still crashes. this has happened probably 15 times since saturday. ever time i try to execute my patch.

i have switched overdrive on and still no luck

help because this is beginning to cause me pain and i am losing faith o'brother in polybuffer~ (which is such a awesome object)

i do know i can patch the similar function with multiple buffers~ but what a pain as this object does everything and more!

i can confirm the bug.
I'm on Max 6.0.1 on Windows 7 32 bit.
As soon as i try to open the polybuffer help max just crash.

ok done some experimenting and it is the polybuffer~ object that max 6 provides us with.

if you follow the link required and download it then replace the polybuffer~ in the max 6/cycling74/msp externals folder it should be fine and dandy.

i have the same crash in max 6.0.1 and i've sent yesterday a bug report to cycling74.

I've even tried the workaround suggested by LLoyd Starr.

But i suspect that the polybuffer version at this 

 link is older than the one supplied with max 6.0.1. am i wrong? but definitely something is not working in the polybuffer help file included in the max 6.0.1 distribution.

all i can say is i downloaded the polybuffer~ from the link i provided - placed it into the correct folder and it works fine now in Max5 and Max6
