Music Hackspace teams up with the London MaxMSP group to present a workshop for Max users wishing to get a little deeper into the software, learn some new techniques for structuring Max patches, and experiment with some of the new features in Max 6.
Nick Rothwell (aka Cassiel) will start from the MaxMSP mantra – "Connect Anything" – and look at how to work with audio and video processing, data structures, and the new physics engine. Participants will be lead through the process of creating simple hybrid audio/visual systems, experimenting with ideas of autonomy and interactivity in digital artworks.
This workshop is intended for anyone with a working knowledge of MaxMSP. Please bring along a laptop (Mac or PC) with Max 6 preinstalled. Access to a USB video camera (such as those built into most laptops) would be advantageous.
Date/time: Sunday 17th Feb 2013, 12 pm to 5 pm
