Is it be possible to create a M4L instrument in max that would duplicate the funcionality of Drum Rack, but allow an option to record straight to the pad within the plugin? Please take a look at the attached image.

I've been playing with the Push and this kind of feature seems obvious. I'm wondering why is it not implemented. This would significantly improve the experience of sampling using just the hardware.
