For no apparent reason New from Clipboard has stopped working
(apple/shift/N).

If you're talking about the keyboard shortcut, it's not actually part of the

standard Max installation - you probably got it via a script that's included

with the ejies. You're probably missing the equally essential shortcut for

Paste Replace too... If you updated or modified Max recently you'll need to
