I am a beginner C programmer working on a jitter open gl external. My code compiles, I then instantiate my external in max. However, Fopen seems to fail at opening a file in my C code. When I try to run my c code outside of max it works fine. I am looking into the API and I am reading about SysFile API, but its difficult to understand how I can use this instead of Fopen.

Could someone provide me an easy example of how to use the Sysfile API to open a file and write binary data to the file, similar to how one would use Fopen to open and write binary data to a file.
