I was just wondering the exact thing, so i threw something together. Seems to emulate it pretty well. This is left-right keys, not the mouse, but it probably wouldn't be too hard to change it up.

Maybe you could just use a horizontal slider connected to a number box?

Btw, I updated my patch so it works the way i originally intended. That is, so if you hold down left and right at the same time it doesn't start spasming.
