I need to get a patch finished by Friday for a university module. We only started studying max this year and so as you can imagine we are still in very early and basic stages, however I am stuck with multiple problems within my patch and need for someone to take me through it step by step in order for me to be able to pass the module with an understanding of my errors.

I don't have the bandwidth to tutor at the moment, but if you share your patch I will try to offer some helpful thoughts.

I’m trying to create a patch in which the Y position of a node within a pictslider changes the wet and dryness of a Reverb and the X position controls the wet and dryness of a Delay. I would like for it to be so that when the node is at the top right corner of the pictslider both the reverb and delay are on maximum wetness, and when at the bottom left they are both on maximum dryness.

I have attached what I have done so far but to be honest it will probably just throw you off as it is so far from the right direction as I haven't even build a reverb or a delay into the patch yet.

btw maybe you don't know this already: you can select all in your patch and go edit-> copy compressed and pste you max patch here like this. You can as well copy the patch below and in max go file-> new from clipboard to open it.

What I suggest is starting with a simplification, and not converting to dB but using a linear gain for wetness from 0 to 1.0., then subtracting that from 1 to provide the gain for dryness from 1 to 0, and simply multiplying the wet and dry by those gain values, then adding them together. So the 'mix' goes from 0 to 1, for the dry signal, and 1 to 0 for the wet signal. If you find the level does not change linearly across the mix, then you can multiply the gain factors by a pow factor, and adjust the pow to your particular needs, and that works best with a 0-to-1 linear range as starting point.
