i wonder why i cannot open amxd files using m4l 'file' menu, and i can maxpat files. amxd can be loaded only using live (left window) or clicking twice on the file. any help?

I think it is to enforce that amxd files cannot be edited by users that do not own Max For Live. You can only edit amxd files by opening them from Live. maxpat files are for Max and Max For Live so they can be opened by the Max application.
