Is it possible to output text to the cursor?

I want to send random numbers or words from a list to the cursor in a open NotePad? Is this possible?

I can build all the random generator and all that but I have no idea how I might send the text plus some carriage returns to the open Word doc.

I don't want to write a text file directly, I'd like to simulate entering the text from a keyboard... I hope this makes sense!
