Output video on a TV
i never used jitter, but i may use it to broadcast video on a TV screen. I will run it on a macbook.
I know how to play video files etc., but not how to put it on a TV.
Thank you for your help.
Hi chapelier fou…
– your TV version
(If it is a pretty new device, with VGA or HDMI input, you will need a simple cable. If it is an older one with video, peritel or rca you will need a converter.)
– your macbook version
(Is it a macbook with dvi, mini dvi ? or mini display port?)
i realized it should be very simple. gonna make my tests, and come back here if i encounter any problems.
Wow, it seems that there is NO hdmi—->peritel (old school connector) available ! Can’t believe it. I really want to use an old TV on stage.
Can anybody confirm this ?
What is you macbook version?
It’s a 10 months old white macbook.
don’t know the connection, but the symbol is a rectangle with two vertical lines on both sides.
For the last white macbook, you will need:
- a mini display port to VGA adapter:
( you can find generic and cheaper one outside the apple store…..)
– vga to RCA / S video converter.
and finally a Composite / s video to Scart converter.
(our french Peritel port is also called Scart)
These items can also be found on the french amazon marketplace.
(Are you planning a new tour?)
thank you so much !
Free entrance for you at any gig of my new tour ! In France it begins in april.
Thanks. But I did not expected that much!, I would be glad to see one of your show.
Did you plan any venue in Paris?
Forgive me but as curious as i am i couldn’t resist looking up your name on google and damn, i am stunned! I just watched the video for the third time now and it’s still really amazing. Any gigs planned in Holland? :)
Thanks chapelier fou.
