probably very stupid basic maxMsp question

Sep 10 2007 | 9:29 pm

Hi all

I wonder if the only thing not customizable in max is the default patcher window. Its ugly boring white, and i would like to skin it into something more comfortable. Do i have to wait for max/msp 5 for this feature or is it already possible.
Max is awsome but i often prefer working with Reaktor, especialy at night, because of this.
Any tips very much appreciated!!

Thanks

Put a panel or an fpic on the whole screen. Then choose Include in Background, and lock the background so you won’t select it all the time. You’ll still get redraw flicker but it won’t be all white (which I dislike too).

If you’re on Mac, I really like the White on Black option (for all applications, not just Max). It’s in Universal Access. coooool… I want one for XP too…
