I have a hi-def full res (1024 x 768) quicktime video that I want to play back. I'm writing a patch that at certain time (as the movie is playing), certain text will go on screen. I'm using a G5 to run it, but sometimes the video would experience a little delay and out of sync, then after a while, it'll be in sync again.

Yup, it's the frame rate drop that I meant. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Also, I realized there's a small bug with the Mac G5 and I'm wondering if that has anthing to do with the performance of the patch.

When I play the video using the Quicktime application, I plugged in my headphone to listen to the audio. But when I unplugged it (while the video is playing), and plugged it back in, the video and audio become out of sync. Such an akward problem, but any idea why this happens?
