I need some help in creating a patch for diffusing sounds in a quad setup. I need x and y coordinates for the panning aspect, but i also want to have a z coordinate to control volume. I plan on using a kaoss pad as my controller

I had a look at luigi's quadpan patch, however the external doesn't seem to be working.

Also, does anyone know where I can get the ambisonic externals for max 5? And if its not available yet, can I run max 4.6 on leopard?

p.s. what exactly does "diffusing sounds in a quad set-up" mean? Do you mean multichannel panning? if so, also look into vbap.
