I'm trying to do a LED strip controlling setup using Jitter in Max.

The idea is to make the setup easily customizable with number of strips and pixels per strip (RGB).

For the performance I have 2 things on my mind:

1. Ability to create sequential animations - where each strip would color up in sequences

2. Ability to do more experimental stuff with noise and interpolation

Here, I wanted to use git.matrix where, but it gets more tricky as I first thought.

For example: in case 1. I want to light up each strip individually, I can do the "setcolumn" patch to light on the column values in a loop, but if I want to have some more control like fadein - fadeout of each strip, or lighting up the next strip while the previous one is still fading out it gets more tricky.

Any idea how to solve those problems while not getting the patch too complicated with a greater deal of possibilities and control?

Should I switch to some other approach instead of using matrixes (like drawing real objects) and then mapping those to the leds?
