This little random ramp gen I made keeps locking up for some reason. Anyone have any ideas?

there's a delay in there that doesn't seem to be needed. the second outlet of line just sends a bang out of it

If you send line a time of zero, it will jump immediately to the value and doesn't bang. just add 1 to your urn output and it won't stop anymore...

I don't know why you use urn instead of random. With this high range for times, you'll get as likely perceivable repetitions as with random...

It's not the urns, it's line that's getting stuck.

Stefan's on the right track: a time of zero will, indeed, cause line to not send out a bang. But any time value less than the grain (default: 20ms) will also effectively suppress bangs. In fact, looking at the values that the rightmost urn is producing, it seems that values less than twice the grain are enough to stop your patch.

The simple workaround is to add a [+ 40] object between the rightmost urn and line's middle input (possibly adjusting urn's parameters).

But this looks like a bug in line. A duration of 0 should behave as Stefan described (which it does), a duration < grain might arguably behave similarly, but a duration >= grain should produce at least one output through the left outlet and then bang the End of Ramp outlet. The long term good कर्म thing would be to file a bug report based on a stripped down version of the patch that focuses on line.
