Reactivision-TUIO patch for you
i made a patch that maps 16 fiducials of the reactivision software:
that patch basically makes 1 bang when you add a fiducial, makes 1 bang when you remove one, and maps the xpos, the ypos and the angle of each fiducial when they’re on the table.
it allows you to start a reactable like project.
i thought it would be cool to share that patch. it’s working quite good here :), but if you have some comments, feel free to give them, i’m a newbie in max/msp, so i’m more than happy to learn.
oh: you’ll need to install the Tuio_client external,you can download it on the reactivision website.

Maybe it’s because some of us didn’t receive the first email – I for one
didn’t :( I see it on the forum now, too, but it never reached my inbox.
Another thing is that larger systems such as reactivision rigs tend to
take some time to get up and running – maybe people just haven’t had
time to test it yet?

I used your patch to help me overcome a serious stumbling block when building a tangible interface for a University project. I was trying colour tracking with jit.findbounds first but it wasn’t cutting it. The Reactivision software looked ideal but I couldn’t find an example patch anywhere to get my head round it – until I found yours. You are an absolute lifesaver!

Hi, I know you made this some time ago, but do you still have the patch? I am also trying to create my own reactable style project but im a bit of a newbie at Max so any help would be great.
heya gbrewer – if it’s what i’m thinking of then i have used his patch many many times in my tuio exploits so if you need it i can email you the patch or code.
I am going to post detais of a project i have made called the grain table up on my blog using this patch and would very much like to credit you for helping me grasp how to handle the tuio signals efficiantly.

i’m using TUIO on a project and it’d be great to see how you handled multiple objects. i’m using the coll object with some success, but i’m curious about other ways to do this.

Hi thanks a lot for this patch is definetly awesome…Have had a midi cc output for x position and y possition to it and i m began to have some reasult and receive this paramettre on abelton live… but i ve got difficulties to receive all in the same time , assigne the goed one to the goed paramettre because it s the same fiducial launching it…
I hope i ve been clear anought… So i m asking the master … have made some avance in your patch? do you have solution to these problemes?
