I have a patch that import a file user the buffer~ object. Then, at some point, the file will be replaced in the directory, as a way to load a "new" file into the buffer without a new file path or file name.
However, I realized the file will be shown as "file-in-use" even I have closed the patch. Finder doesn’t release the file, not until MAX/MSP is quitted.
Any thoughts how I could release the file so the file can be written without quitting MAX/MSP?
If there is no easy way, could someone share some thoughts on how I could write a "filepath" patch so I could pass new file paths dynamically on-the-go. Many Thanks.
