I've read all the documentation on the pattr stuff but still trying to get my head around it. Seems very powerful, but a bit complex.

Instead of having presets in a single pattrstorage / json. I've opted for having separate json files for each preset. This way I can give my presets long meaningful english names, and it's easier for me to edit the json files in a text editor ( I have hundreds of parameters in each preset, about 25 KB / 335 rows for a preset).

I fill a umenu with all the json files in a folder, then I can choose a preset from the dropdown.

I was reading a json file and then immediately sending a 1 to the pattrstorage (with a [t 1 l], and I've noticed some artifacts (fields not being loaded correctly). i'd assumed the '1' message would be delayed and accepted by the pattrstorage automatically after it finishes reading, but I don't think that is the case? I tried adding a delay 50 before sending a the 1 and the artefacts went away. Of course I really don't like that solution of arbitrarily delaying by 50ms, a figure I pulled out of thin air. What's the best way to handle this scenario?
