[Sharing is strange and weird] Some Patch
awww snapz, audiomatt’s back? screw that, i’m out! (jus kiddin, welcome back! >:D)
Jeez. Man I still feel like such crap about that email between us! Good to hear from you though, asswipe!
crap about that email between us
(ha, you shouldn’t, i didn’t leave it with a bad feeling…(i don’t think?)
…got to know each other better(i found out you have quite a great heart to reach out like that :).
but to be honest, i barely remember it now, too, ha! :D
they should bring back pms here, so we can all keep having so many private, wonderful, exciting confrontational misunderstandings, hehehehe >;D)
i’m back on the forums cuz of gen~(it’s like reaktor core-cell except you get to think in and out of code whenever you want). have ya tried it? wait, no, of course you have, i saw the waveguide_string example in the examples folder taken from your forum post here… awesome stuff! looking forward to seeing more and more.
gen~ is amazing although, it’s currently giving me a headache. DynamicDSP~ used to support it but apparently something changed and suddenly an important patch of mine no longer works! It’ll all get ironed out eventually.
What have you been working on with it?
wb audiomatt! :)
i been doing stuff like these:
but those are early versions/parts of larger apps i’m making for some music stuff of my own…
recently got sidetracked, got a plumbutter synth a while ago: http://ciat-lonbarde.net/plumbutter/
decided to play a gig with it soon so i tried to see if max could send audio to control it, but am too stupid to get the grounding right. meanwhile, was able to get signals into max from the synth, so i used gen~ to track the analog clock-signal to sync some granular sampling and other stuff in max…. straight ‘hustlin’ with gen~! >;D
(though i must admit, most of the stuff i’ve done in gen~, i see soon after i made them(aside from some fft things), could be just as easily made in regular msp :p forever a young(and ignorant…oh and also maybe a little immature) noob! :D)
ya, it gets pretty deep :)
the delay only took me a couple days, but the binampsustainerer took me a week(figuring out the complex/real-imaginary math version required some reading :p).
i think that’s my favorite thing about gen~: speed of design. don’t have to worry about vector-sizes or anything but 64-bit floats, and the limited library of functions gets you to think in simpler terms, faster.
Hello. I am quite new to Max so to me it seems like Magic how from your main patcher window, whit it having just a couple of objects, you can do complex stuff. Is there any way in which I can see how the actual operations going on on that window are happening? I wan’t to grasp how you managed to put poly~ inside polys~.
