Here's an attempt of recreating the [scale @classicmode 1], motivated by Alexandre Torres Porres's question in the Max\MSP facebook group.

This is not trivial since the formulas provided in the documentation are wrong.

Typically for reverse-engineering the initial mathematical approach is the base for the complexity of the final outcome, and because I used the formulas given in the [scale] reference, it became tangled and very convoluted. I expressed the logarithms found in the reference formula in terms of powers, for clarification.

For some reason I can't post a compressed patch, so see the attachment for the file.

x=input, a=in_low, b=in_high, c=out_low, d=out_high, "power" is the 5th argument of [scale], i.e the base of the 'exponent'
