I am using Soundflower to route the output of Ableton Live 8.2.2 to my tc electronic KonnektLive. I am doing this because I will also need to route the output of Live to BUTT, which is a software utility to perform Shoutcast streaming. However, this second connection is not required to exhibit the problem.
The issue is that after a short time (30sec – 5 min), the audio from the KonnektLive starts getting crackly for a few seconds, then it goes away to be replaced by a faint buzz.
If I connect direct from Live’s master to the KonnektLive, all is well.
The problem is not solved by increasing Soundflowerbed’s Buffer Size to max (nor min, for that matter).
This is all with Soundflower 2ch. Soundflower 16-ch is utterly unusable, providing a huge noise immediately.
When things are going very bad, the sound sounds like digital audio with loss of sync.
Audio Devices show that all ins and outs are set to 44.1K – as is the KonnectLive control panel. The KonnecktLive is set for internal clocking, and all other ins & outs are set to Default (grayed out as non-changeable).
