I think I could sort some things out concerning my patch.
I wonder if someone could help me to find out some more…
I trigger some sounds in in sfplay with a percussive instruments. Now they just restart playing every time I hit the conga… how would it be the easiest to hear the whole sounds while I hit them, like they would be echoes of each other?
I attached the file, if someone could have a look?
thanks for replaying.
I just use max in the school, so I can not save it now in another format, but I have not used poli~ just a peakamp~ and some sounds played with sfplay~.
Is it possible to get sfplay to get something played until the end while it is triggered again and again…
(sorry for my english:)
I may should use groove for this kind of approuch…
Whether you do it with poly~ or some other way, you will need one
instance of sfplay~ for each voice you require, so if you want to
hear eight notes at once you will need sfplay~s. Yes poly~ is a good
way to do this, bhut as always in Max, not the only way!

I will have about four different sounds, all adjusted to a different threshold of the volume. So when I hit the conga in piano it plays sound one, mf=sound two, forte= sound three…
Can I use one four sounds? I hit the conga faster then the sound finishes (in this case the sounds stops and starts from the begining). I am sure there is a way to sort this out somehow, I may need to use something like a buffer and groove… will try it!
Thanks for the support!
