Live and Max are playing side by side. I am trying to switch a preset in a pattr through TouchOSC on the iPad in Max. When I do I get audio dropouts in Max *and* Live.

also there is an error message in Console:

it's a new 17" MacBook Pro with 2.3Ghz -- so I am hoping it's not CPU that is causing this...
