When I open the patch in max/msp, all parameter names seem to be good,

but when I open the device in Live, some names are changed into older names

I don't use anymore or into auto generated names. In some cases I open a patch

with subpatches in it and the parameter names are also not good.

Right now it even got as weird as: I make a new live.text object, save the subpatch, open the device

in Live: the new object is called: live.numbox in Live's parameter list.

- delete the cache and preference folders and do a clean install for Max and Ableton Live

- check and remove any duplicates of the files/folders on the harddisk and check for duplicate parameter names in the subpatches

- copy the problematic subpatch into a new file

- remove the problematic parameter objects, close open max, make a new parameter object.

- remove the subpatch in the main patch, close/open max, create the subpatch again.

this works sometimes, sometimes not. I managed to, after a long time of try and error,

to fix 80% of the problematic parameters. But the last 20% keeps being trouble,

and I’m afraid it will return anyway at some point on the other objects as it did a few times before.

I was able to do that to some extend, having a mainpatch and a subpatch with only one live.text that

changes it name when opened in Live, but once I compres copy it to make it ready for the forum,

I can’t replicate the problem anymore when pasting it into new patches.

I also can’t replicate the problem from scratch, it only happen in my big device with many subpatches and

when I delete everything around the problem as I try to isolate the problem.

To me this seems a bug of max for live. Anybody any idea’s or had any similar experiences?

Max 7.2.2 (but it also happens when I choose max 6 in Live as m4l app)

to get rid of all the trouble. It kept hanging in some cache I guess, but it's gone now and didn't

I kept repeating:
