I'd like two different bpatchers that have a view of the same object. I'm guessing this isn't possible. I've got a patch with 8 subpatch windows, and I'm selecting them with tabs by reframing, as suggested in the docs. Then I thought it would be great to have a second window that could show a different one of the 8. But I don't want 2 copies of all the subpatches. (Many can't have 2 copies, and although I could refactor all the non-gui code out of them, it still seems wasteful to have 2 of everything)

I'm guessing this isn't strictly possible, and I'm wondering about the workarounds.

If I connect the two windows (I'm delighted that I can put objects in the parent patch right over a bpatcher--never occurred to me it would be possible) into one large one, I can move the presentation coordinates of the subwindows to one of two spots, and achieve the same effect. Do you think there is a performance penalty for moving objects around, as opposed to the standard way of just moving the frame?

Is there another way you can think of? I thought about turning presentation mode on and off in the subwindows, but the coordinates for presentation get lost if an object is taken out of presentation... makes sense, I guess.
