I use max for live to communicate with touchosc on an ipad1

I used to give udp send the argument 255.255.255.255 to send to every device on the network

Since upgrading to mavericks I have to type in the iPad's IP address (169.254.123.244 etc) or it doesn't work.

Anyone else notice this? Any tips on solving it?

I'm running the latest versions of max and live, tried trashing prefs, tried installing each program again etc.

If I can't since this by tonight I'll unfortunately be going back to mountain lion

seems more like an OS issue rather than a MAX issue... broadcasting should be handled by the network software
