Hello, I am trying to understand what the sfplay~'s message "followglobaltempo 1" is actually doing.

How does sfplay~ determine the audio's scaling factor?

Is there a way to change that factor? Sometimes it is totally wrong: I've just tried the help file with different loops playing at their original tempo, and they're all weirdly slow.

sorry my bad I was missing the message "originaltempo $1" which is used by sfpay~ to calculate the ratio
