I’m working with single images mapped onto surfaces. Pretty much 2D permutations in 3D space. In the past I mapped images onto textures of gridshape objects and that worked ok. But I’ve seen jit.gl.videoplane mentioned alot on the forum so tried that out and it seems to work for this purpose too.
Is there any advantage/disadvantage to using videoplane over textures on a gridshape object (if I’m working only with planes)? Aside from the method of applying an image/video to the surface and all the 3-D shapes that gridshape offers, they seem to be pretty similar.
