Hi, I used to be a heavy Max5 user, but I stopped patching and programming for a few years and now I’ve forgotten almost everything I knew. I just bought Max6 though and I’m looking to get back into it. One of the things I want to do currently is use jitter to analyze footage from a fighting game tournament to analyze match events and calculate the success rate of various options that are possible to be analyzed.
In this game, whenever certain events occur, a message appears on the player’s side of the screen, and I want to count the number of times these messages appear. I should similarly also be able to count the number of times a combo is performed (although parsing the number of hits in the combo would be significantly more challenging), and by looking at the health bars, I should be able to see how much damage the combo dealt.
Can anyone give me some pointers on how I would go about starting this project?
