I'm trying to add the mxj autobot stuff to use in Max 7 on my mac. I've tried putting in in Users/Shared/Max7/Libraries and Users/Shared/Max7/Packages, but both give me the error "Could not load class 'autobot'" when I instantiate it in Max.

I went into the Max7 Package and put autobot.class, atutobot.java, and autobot.maxhelp in the correct folders and it works, but I'm worried that updating max will delete these additions.

Hi, if you put your classes in a package, in the folder "java-classes" (.jars can go in a subfolder called "lib"), they will load. This should be documented in the packages Guide in the docs.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I'm having this issue to. I'm attaching a screenshot of where my .jar lives. Max 7.0.6.

If I put the .jar in the same directory as my patch, it loads just fine. What am I doing wrong?

Place the .jar file directly into lib, not in the jm subfolder.

Now to figure out what I was doing yesterday when I thought I tried that and I still wouldn't work... Hm.

Where to add mxj files in max 7?
