total beginner: re-route midi input to different output

    hello folks, i'm a complete newcomer as for max and i have a (possibly really simple) question. i'm trying to do the following:
    logic pro -> sending midi(-notes) to max (via "to max1" port) -> reroute this data to another device and channel (my soundcard, midi ch 7) -> connected to a hardware synth
    i successfully receive midi data within max and i now simply want to change my input midi to a different midi output & channel.
    can anybody tell me how to do this? thanks a load, benni

      midiin -> midiout ?

      midi-in: channel 1 - max (from DAW logic pro) midi-out: channel 7 - audiomidiinterface (to hardware synth)
      in between: something that redistributes my in-signal to another channel & device (i'm calling this "re-routing")

      look at [midiparse] and [midiformat]. Also, I'd advise you to do the tutorials, otherwise you'll bump your head against a wall a bunch of times.
