So, since we don't have any decent and quick scripting at high priority, I've started to work with Esprima to translate javascript to max. Right now I'm just using http://esprima.org/demo/parse.html . The goal would be to write an object like [execute "var myVal = anotherVal[3]==1?in1:mydict.prop"] and the abstraction would script all the inlets, all the storage, the arithmetic and etc.

I think integrating value assignment, array notation (via zl mth), dictionaries, the value object would be the biggest time saver to ever hit max. Sure it's stupid to teach it to students but that doesn't mean it's not useful.

I'm sort of assuming cycling has some sort of philosophical opposition to putting to much code in an object box but, to be honest, executing a line like this is incredibly time consuming in max.
