For one of my performance projects I'm looking for a way to wirelessly transmit the signals from the photo-diodes I'm wearing on my body to the mixing desk. The photo-diodes are mounted on tiny pre-amp circuits that output a (weak) line signal. Right now I have 2 signals but would like to be able to expand.
I 'm looking for something smaller than a mic body-pack so it can be hidden in for example a wrist-band. One option I'm contemplating is hacking this kind of transmitter, remove the plug and attach the pre-amp output directly: http://www.samsontech.com/samson/products/wireless-systems/airline-77/airline77gtr/
(supposedly a guitar pick-up level transmitter should work with the weak line output of our pre-amps). Drawback is that each signal needs its own sender-receiver pair.
Perhaps you guys have other tips? Would be nice if the signal can stay in the analog domain but digital solutions can be considered.
