tutorial/reference help 4 beginner

    can anyone give me a push start on any recommended tutorial/reading matter for a newby to max msp.

      The tutorials are great (8 months later I'm still going through them), but Peter Elsea has some good pdfs at his ftp site too.
      The PQEfavorites.pdf file was helpful narrowing down the more common objects when i first opened max and had no clue what to do next.
