I tried to send stuff with udpsend on local. Didn't work even after a computer reboot.

Thanks for the report. I haven't been able to reproduce on either Big Sur (M1) or Catalina (x86_64) using the udpsend help patch.

Can you clarify more details about your platform and usage?

Is the above OS version number a typo or are you running Monterey and that is the version reported via legacy APIs under Max 8.1.11's support info?

In fact, I think it's related to a conflict between Max versions when used with Ableton Live. 

I'm sending udp from a stand alone Max patch to a M4L device. When I edit the M4L device, I always end up having two different versions or Max open at the same time. 

I have to quit Max, the other Max, and Ableton Live in order to have it working again.
