Video cards recommendations for Intel Macs?

Does anybody have any advice on Intel Mac video cards for use with Jitter and related GPU/OpenGL work? Apple offers three configs. It seems clear that the step up from stock GeForce 7300GT to Radeon X1900 XT is a no-brainer. Does anybody know what if any Jitter/GPU/OpenGL benefits there are to spending the extra $1695 for the Nvidia Quadro FX 4500? Any advice on these or other video cards for the new Intel Macs would be greatly appreciated.

If you need quad buffered stereo or a massively powerful GPU, then it
might be worth it, otherwise, the default cards a quite good for doing
both 3D stuff and pixel processing on the GPU.

      Hi Wesley,
What do you mean by quad buffered ? And what is the difference of the GPU of
      Quadro and GeForce ?
While, I had run a water ripple patch using GPU and buffer read back on a
Quadro FX1500, it is much faster than another machine with a 6600GT.
However, I do not really know what in the machine to make such different.

Quad buffered is for active stereo using both Left and Right
front/back buffer pairs for the left and right eyes. Readback
performance is getter better on newer machines and I guess largely
depends on both you graphics card and the type of bus system it's
      plugged in to.
