Want to fight against a value that is always trying to get to 0

Hi there,

I want to create a knob/ slider that is constantly moving to a resting place of 0 but every time I send it a bang I am adding a positive value and "fighting" to push the number upwards. The more frequently I bang it the higher the number gets.

I have been going in circles all evening trying to come up with some solution.
