I purchased Max4Live awhile back with my Ableton Suite 9 license. Now that I am in the Cycle74' site I had to register, downloaded a new version of Max 8 to update my local version, and it is telling me I now only have a 29 days trial.

Did somebody take my purchased license away or something? I swear I only use its powers for good...

I suffered the same confusion and anguish as you, but over on the Ableton forums, I've been assured that even with the newly downloaded 8.02 version, I can use it as my Live editor for Max in an unrestricted way. The only thing I cannot do with the external app is to create and save new devices. It's worth pointing out that the latest 10.06beta already comes with the 8.02 version of Max as the embedded version, so hopefully in the next few weeks the release version of Live will come with the latest version of Max.
