In Max's LOM, the color_index property of a track is defined to have the type "long". This data type appears almost no where else and absolutely no information on it can be found anywhere. 

It seems something that only exists in JavaScript, which is not my expertise.

All I need is a simple way to convert and INT into a LONG!

liveAPI.goto("live_set tracks <valid track number>");

In Live 10, liveAPI.get("color_index") returns an array of size 1 with the color index number inside. However, if you try to set the color_index with an equivalent array or just a number the error "set: unsupported property type" is given at the console. Looking at the LOM, it's a long data type. However, contrary to the OP, the long data type doesn't exist in JavaScript as far as I can tell. Instead, they are always 64-bit floating point numbers (or doubles).

In Live 11, liveAPI.get("color_index") returns an array of size 1 with the color index number inside again. However, liveAPI.set("color_index", <valid color index number>) or a similarly formatted array works as expected.

Are there any workarounds to get this working in Live 10? Does the LOM need to be updated to indicate that setting by color index isn't possible until Live 11?
