What day of the week is it?

There's an external for OSX that calculates which day of the week it is. Is there anything for XP? I'm in the middle of a project and would rather not derail into learning MXJ just to get the date.

"Please note that [mxj now] will give you the same information, and much more..."
hehe, just a case of my brain not parsing that sentence correctly because I ignored the brackets.
mxj now replaces many things. [mxj now] deals with time.
      Thanks, everyone!
