Hope this message will be read by somebody from Cycling team who could help Max users on windows 10...

Since more than 1 year now, we have problems with USB interruptions on windows 10. It seems to be an inherent problem of windows 10 and nobody knows why and when - the usb devices are disconnected and reconnected immediatly. This pb was not present on Windows 8.

We spent a lot of our time to find the solution and the only solution we found is -> reconnect the midi in MIDI setup window (Off / On) manually.

This means that it's impossible to play the concert or create an installation with Max on Windows 10 ! It's totally crazy for a software dedicated to make live electronic music no ?!

We cancelled a lot of concerts and installations only because of this problem !!!

Is there somebody - programmer - who could program Max to do this thing (reconnect MIDI) automatically ?

I made a little external program to received windows USB informations and when the usb is reconnected I try to send infromation to Max to reconnect MIDI, but I have about 50% success. I am sure that it's not really difficult for guys from Cycling to do it, but they have to read this message and understand that the users can't use the MIDI controllers with Max !!!!

We need help - we bought Max and computers and all this is for nothing...

When we cancel a concert we have to pay - but we cancel concerts because Max doesn't work....

Hope we will finally have an answer - since one year there are no answers from Cycling....

Is there someone I could contact in particular for this problem?

PS. no use asking me about control panels, energy save, usb power, etc... during 1 year we tested ALL !!! Need a solution with Max to reconnect MIDI that's all. Thanks
