Maybe someone can enlighten me about the different pricing for Europeans. For example an American pays 149$ for a Max 8 upgrade, while an European will have to pay 159Euro (184$) for the same upgrade. That is 35$ more just because you are an European. I find it unfair. 

And if you manage to bring out a good argument for this price difference, at least C74 should advertise properly and say upfront that it is more expensive if you live in Europe. Don't you think?

No. The US does not have a VAT and the whole system for taxing online purchases is strange. I was just curious if you had to pay VAT on top of the price you quoted.

for a shorter hint at a larger overlying problem, see this article, although it might not explain everything about the discrepancy in price described within this thread, the recent devaluing of the euro against the dollar in exchange rate does contribute to some of the reasoning:

No it is NOT irrelevant, you are blaming Cycling74 for something they have no control over and asking them to explain for it. Instead, I'd tell you to go and tell your governments to stop borrowing money based on the dollar, they're the ones who should be explaining to you why the value of your money fluctuates so much.

i mean no harm, i promise this will not upset you: in the future, it is better to simply ask a question without inflecting any imagined supposition of what others may have intended(example, it's likely no one at Cycling74 would ever decide on purpose to charge anyone who is not American extra, simply because they are not american, but your original post implies this by the words, "just because you are an European"). it is great to see you have the spirit of activism, to make sure europeans have equal rights and are treated fairly in the world, but words can be phrased so as not to suppose from the start(especially when you don't have any clear facts to support your assumptions) any assumption about the intent of others.
