I do not know why, but when I write the buffer in this patch to a file or save this patcher, the information in the buffer changes. Why?

Background: I want to write a list of prime numbers into a buffer for use inside a gen~ patcher. I realized that writing whole numbers (2, 3, 5, 7, 11...) would not be possible in a buffer, so I have been scaling the numbers by dividing by 10,000. Initially, when I check the buffer, it is correct, but if I save the patch or write the buffer to a file, the contents change. Why? What have I done wrong?

I did change a couple of things in your patch. I think it does now what you want…

I think that there is something funny happening with the formatting of the numbers within the buffer. I don't think the samptype command is the solution, but it prodded me to use the format command. It gets me closer, but I still have some issues with rounding.

I wasn't able to get the buffer to write integers, so I returned to multiplying by .00001. This is closer, but for some reason, when I copy the buffer into gen~ and reference it there, number that were .00013 are output as .00012999986. I truncated these and added 1, but I wish I didn't have to do that! Weirdly, outside gen, the issue doesn't exist.
