This is an ongoing project in exploring possibilities in using the magic trackpad in live performance environments. The trackpad is a wondrous device, which can simultaneously track up to 11 (!) fingers and gives detailed data for each one, such as position, velocity, finger elliptoid axes, angle etc.
iminlovewithanothergirl explores the use of a condenser microphone as percussive beater, friction actuator, feedback tuner, as well as a dynamically moveable microphone.
sjseq creates algorithmic variations on basic drum patterns.
mpEchoChord is a tool designed to facilitate the creation and interpretation of harmonies.
mpMouseician handles midi notes and velocity values remote controlled by mouse movement.
Vavdo S is a free software "modular" synthesizer .
Feld by Greg Surges Feld is a generative, real-time composition which combines computer-controlled homebrew synthesis hardware with custom software signal processing.
Create musical patterns using 4 layers of gestures. This MIDI maxForLive device helps you create musical patterns with mouse gestures.
Operations is a computer generated audiovisual solo performance piece. The starting point for this piece is the programming of traditional drum machine grid patterns, a type of musical score.
this is an ongoing series, consisting of hour long [1hr 20mins with 002 onwards] compositions directed to electronics, ambient, improvisation and good ol' music fans.
Fae Harmer Nathan Harmer Johnathan Pigram Performing an adaptation of 'Put On Your Tin Foil Hats' with CRT TV's and VCR's as source material. All sound was sourced from Electro-magnetic fields from the onstage consumer electronics using magnetic pickups.
Since 1989 I have been exploring improvisation and realtime interaction on the electric cello using the computer and video.
"Petal Ignited" is the first release by Springs Period.
The Party Van is an 'all-in-one' performance patch built primarily around live sampling and improvisation. It is built to be controlled by a Monome64, but everything functions with or without a Monome. Features: 2 sample/loopers with overdub, halfspeed, and reverse functionality.
STILLHETEN is a software for electroacoustic live improvisation entirely developed using Max/MSP. The main idea behind the project is based on the concept of working with a set of “n” linearly independent vectors in a space and generate orthogonal frames used to trigger different parameters in the audio synthesis and processing.
The Augmented Drum Kit consists of a traditional jazz drum kit mounted with sensors, contact microphones, speakers and bespoke software programmed in MaxMSP.
Pedrodomus (NYC) and Naetron (ATX) have teamed up under court orders to release a truly metal, glitched-out, rock-solid EP.
Here is a run through of the setup for the laser controlled music thingy! This is not how it sounds as it is just ticking over whilst I am filming and when I do play it I only have one hand free! The basic premise is this; Light dependent resistors (up to 16 of them) are stimulated by lights and lasers passing over them and the change in resistance is measured by an Arduino Mega and sent over USB to a laptop running Window 7. The data streams are processed by OSC and Max/MSP, converted and sent to a variety of sound sources.
