Liza Seigido

"Divertimento in Hz No. 1" a collaboration between two Miami based multimedia artists and composers, Dr. Liza Seigido and Dr. Lawrence W. Moore. In this piece, Moore improvises on the Moog Werkstat with an Electro-Harmonix 8 Step Program analog step sequencer and an Electro-Harmonix Memory Boy analog delay. Using Max, Seigido designed a simple interactive video overlay for Moore's improvisation. The video overlay is essentially a simple audio visualizer that saturates a still image according to the amplitude of the ambient sounds in the performance space. Seigido's patch also includes simple controls which allow her to improvise color changes in the video overlay so as to match the "mood" of Moore's improvisation.
