ZEPHIR is an additive and subtractive digital synthesizer with four oscillators, two LFO and one FM.
brainoff: LAS is a music program developed with max/msp/jitter for live performances. All sounds coming from the outside world in real time are recycled and modified into the frequency domain; all the spectral information is retrieved in order to freely shape the sound and then refreshed in order to get a pitch/beat detection for triggering an analog synth.
grainfields turns your monome 128 grid into a granular synthesizer with 8 voices - each with up to 10 constant streaming grains.
V-Mass allows you to map video to either a series of geometric primitives or bring in your custom 3D models in the OBJ format.
Re:Trace allows you to redraw live or prerecorded video into an OpenGL context.
Inspired by structuralists methods, brutalist architecture and minimalist visual forms, struct is a live improvisation with eurorack modular system as the only source of triggering and sound.
sig.term is the new audiovisual live performance project by Julien Bayle, based on data transmissions, interferences and physics of sound
Audition is a flexible sample preview tool built in Max.
mike.aha is an aleatoric human aggregator built with Max. mike is designed to ingest large quantities of public domain source media (sound, music, speech, image, video and text) and recombine it aleatorically based on a few simple parameters: intensity, density, repetition, focus, and space.
sonic particles 2.0 is a real-time sonification of urban environmental data.
Users punch their rhythm into a “voting booklet” that mimics the infamous punchcard-style Votomatic voting machines used during the 2000 Florida election debacle.
"Geografia Sonora", a sound-video installation on the theme of the sea. An archipelago of “sound islands” (singing/speaking voices, sound signals, natural and mechanical sounds) and the a continuously changing sparkling sea are automatically generated ad infinitum by Max/MSP, the Spatialisateur, Jitter and Antescofo software.
A simple patch for galvanising inspiration.
Having a couple lists of general midi compatible chromatic presets (each 128 long [one in Kontakt, one in FM8]) has been incredibly useful for me when I want to jump straight into composition and not think too hard about choosing an instrument. I've also been able to use it successfully with old auto accompaniment keyboards and other multitrack sequencers, and get a selection of patches that are a pretty good fit to what the intended sound should be. I've not yet posted my max patches to handle the program changes because they are sub-optimal, but if you'd like to join the discussion and collaborate on development of devices, the folder structures, and preset lists, please join the google group https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/the-bsp-initiative
We Are Fine, We'll Be Fine is an audio documentary played on a wooden game board exploring people's stories about marginalization, oppression, and the navigating hope for the future.
InMuSIC is an Interactive Musical System designed for electroacoustic improvisation (clarinet and live electronics).
vStack is a looper application build 100% with Max.
The vArisPeed patch is a tool for designing and performing realtime, random compositions from audio loop samples played at varying speeds typically between 0.01 and 0.99 of normal speed.
Tweets release air bubbles and electronic sounds that allow viewers to see and hear the environmental cost of online behavior and its supportive physical infrastructure.
SASER SAS24P3L is a software defined radio (SDR) telescope without an antenna need.
Redundancy is a full length LP composed entirely with Max.
Sonic Views are images generated by ambient sounds. To each value of the waveform's amplitude is associated a color ranging from black to white. Each color is then applied to a squared cell in a matrix, creating a picture where the ambient recording can be explored at its most granular level, but where sound is left to the spectator to imagine.
