where education and helping others is concerned, you either take the time it takes to help others, or you're just pretending to help. don't fuck around, this statement makes you simply look like you're completely self-absorbed.

my audience likes to know about how I organize myself, what I am doing while working etc. This is why I wrote 1 week.
About taking time.
I'm teaching since a lot time, and about Ableton Live & Max since 3 intensive years. I totally agree with you while you are saying "you  take the time it takes to help others"
You cannot imagine the time I'm giving for people.
AFAIK considering the messages I had about that guide, it has already helped a lot and this is the most important thing for me.

indeed! congrats. (though 'help' is determined not by what people say, but by with what they actually do with it... as in: it only really helps them if they go on to do something great with it.... everything else is pure subjectivity.... so i doubt you can tell the actual benefit so soon after the release. but then again, maybe you have easier expectations of yourself than i have of myself :D)
i still think the whole thing could do without that 'in 1 week' statement, it doesn't actually tell anything about your organization, it's just a bragging point(and some folks may misinterpret it like i do: thinking you care more about speed than content)... not something that is very relevant from a philanthropic/educational standpoint... but that's just my opinion.

the only example available for what i'm saying is your statement about '1 week'.... plus, your english version isn't even complete... so you should probably not get so worked up about not having examples if you don't even put that criticism on yourself for not having actually completed it.

you probably think this tells people that you somehow 'organized' to learn that... and also that saying it's easy will encourage them to learn it themselves?
to me, this doesn't really explain how you learned it(would've been much better to just post links to the educational resource you used to learn it), and doesn't expound upon why it was so easy. this part of it also has nothing to do with Max.
these statements you make aren't very well thought out in my opinion from an educator's standpoint.

one last thing, no hard feelings overall, though, i'm mainly just trying to push you harder, while also playing devil's advocate because i have this lingering question in my mind as to where your intent really lies because of all these 'fluff' statements in the description.
and i also take the liberty to act as freely critical as i need to be because i expect no one would take it too seriously now that i've dubbed myself 'the resident asswipe'.
so if anything really bothers you about my statements: ignore me(it really isn't a big deal).
of course, you should do whatever you think is right, and i congratulate you again on feeling good about it and whatever positive response you've gotten so far.
what's going on here? wtf, a guy writes a book and does some cheesy promo. I can't think of something that leaves me more indifferent.(although I find the book not uninteresting. Won't buy it probably though)

I bought this guide in French when it came out... There's totally a lack of french documentation in the world of Max 6 and Max for live. It's why I bought it : 30$-coupon = 20$..Not bad... But if you don't need the french version, 39,99$ it's amzingly costy for that guide !!!! There's no patch that we can download to follow the guide for example. I think that julien is trying to do too much stuff at once and the results is all is stuff is average or aborted : c programming book for arduino , is Patreon... My suggestion Julien : focus on one thing at a time and do it nicely.

It's easy to say haters gonna hate etc, but it's a bit of a weak argument. When it comes to learning, people are (on the whole) quite fair with their opinions. There's something concrete about trusting the person who is teaching you, which must play a big role in the psychology of learning. It might be truthful to say you wrote it in a week, but it doesn't fill me with confidence. How is it relevant to the content of the book?
I have Cipriani and Giri's book, which is great, but a little bit too academic for my tastes. There's obviously a space between academia and people on youtube rambling on for 5 minutes at the start of a tutorial for great content to thrive, but it seems that the frame it sits in is quite important. There's enough people shouting 'ME!' on The Internet without you suggesting tweets and hashtag stuff. If people like it and they want to share it, they get to choose how they do that.

That comment about trust is so right on. The teaching/learning process can be confounded by the same god-complex that a doctor might have.
